Kitzbuhel Wednesday

Heute Morgen haben wir Deutsch gesprochen, und viel uber den Genitiv Kasus gelernt.  I am sure that it will be useful.  We are becoming quite chatty in class, getting used to the sound of our own voices speaking German and also listening to each other.  Hans’ wife Louisa, an Englishwoman, brought their two young daughters in to meet us.  They were dressed in their dirndls, as is the tradition for the first day of school, which it was today.  They are aged 7 and 9 and are completely fluent in English and German.  Later in the day, Marcella (Irish) and I were in a bookshop, where the young man working there spoke four languages in the time I was present – English, German, Italian, French.
The afternoon was spent out walking, around the Schwarzsee, Kitzbuhel’s water playground.  It was a bit cool for the fly, but people were swimming.
