Out of America

At the airport, Toronto.  (Ah, wonderful wifi!)  I have just exchanged  my backpack for a pull along to take onboard.  Backpack was just too heavy.  The attendant in the store was delighted to get a new backback. When next buying a suitcase, one with four wheels will be the way to go.  They just trundle along so easily, while the two wheelers do require one to carry the weight.
It may be a good time to be leaving North America.  The season is just about on the turn – there were some maples showing reds and golds on the train trip down from Montreal this morning.  Otherwise, North Americans are taken up with Hurricane Irene (don’t they know that is an oxymoron?),  the death from pancreatic cancer of the leader of the Canadian Democratic National Party (?) – all flags at half mast today,  the events in Libya, and seemingly of equal importance still, the bride with bed-bugs.
Now, eight hours to Frankfurt.  Eight hours at Frankfurt. Then one hour back to Dublin.  Can’t they do things better than that?

  1. Lame. You could probably walk to Dublin faster than that.
