Leaving “Home sweet Homer” and the Driftwood Inn and the
Cups Café,
back up the Kenai Peninsula, through Anchorage (another visit to
outdoor specialist store REI to gear up) and on to Talkeetna.
This is an historic place (where they have a best dressed moose festival) well on the way
from Anchorage to the Denali Park, our eventual destination. But two nights are booked in Talkeetna, and
also, a flight over Mt McKinley and a glacier landing!
